🚐📡 NIX DRONES | THE CONTINENTAL DRIFT – EUROPE 2026

Right then… it’s happening.

After weeks of planning routes, tweaking mileages, and doing what I do best—overthinking fuel stops—I’m about to set off from Stafford in my campervan Vanilla on what is easily the biggest road trip I’ve ever taken on.

This isn’t a quick getaway.

This is The NIX Continental Drift — a full-scale European journey covering thousands of miles, crossing borders, climbing mountains, following coastlines, and stopping in places most people drive straight past.

🌍 THE ROUTE

The trip begins with a steady run through France 🇫🇷.

No rushing, no hammering it like a delivery job—just easing into it properly. Aires, countryside stops, good food, and getting into the rhythm of the road.

Then things start to get serious.

🇨🇭 Switzerland brings the big scenery—lakes, mountains, and roads that make you glad you’re driving something you enjoy being in.

🇮🇹 Italy follows, where the plan includes one very important stop: a proper plate of spaghetti bolognese in Bologna. It would be rude not to.

Then comes the stretch I’m most looking forward to…

🇭🇷 Croatia — the Adriatic coastline, slower days, seaside stops, and time to actually sit still and take it all in.

Finally, the turning point of the whole trip:

🇧🇦 Bosnia – Zenica
Meeting up with Azra and her family after driving across half of Europe to get there. That’s what this trip is really about.

After that, it’s the journey home—more mountains, more scenery, and no doubt a van that’s seen a fair bit of life by the time I roll back into Stafford.

🚐 THE VAN – VANILLA

For those who’ve followed Nix Drones for a while, you’ll know Vanilla.

This van isn’t just transport—it’s the whole setup.

Fully equipped for off-grid stops, campsite stays, and everything in between, it gives me the freedom to go where I want, stop where it looks good, and stay there as long as I like.

And on a trip like this… that freedom is everything.

🎥 FILMING THE JOURNEY

This isn’t just about driving—it’s about capturing it.

I’ll be taking the drone across Europe, filming:

Mountain passes through the Alps
Coastal routes along Croatia
Campsites in places you wouldn’t normally think to stop
Sunrise and sunset flights from wherever I end up parked

If it looks good, it’s getting filmed.

Expect proper content—not just quick clips, but the kind of footage that shows what it actually feels like to be there.

There are some longer driving days in there, but plenty of shorter ones too—time to stop, look around, and enjoy it properly.

No complicated agenda.

Just a few solid principles:

Drive great roads
Eat proper local food
Find interesting places
Capture everything worth capturing
And enjoy every mile of it

No rushing. No ticking boxes. Just doing it properly.

Trips like this don’t come along often.

It’s the kind of thing you talk about doing for years… and then one day you just decide to go.

Well… this is that moment.
