🥣 NIX’S “CREAMLINE STEWARD”

Creamy Chicken, Celery, Mushroom & Carrot Soup (Named for its calm authority, smooth handling, and refusal to spill.)

Status: Fully Tested Appliance: Ninja Soup Maker Texture: Chunky-creamy (pieces suspended in silk) Mood: Comforting, steady, quietly competent

This is a classic white soup, done properly. No tricks. Just balance, patience, and cream at the right moment.


🧾 INGREDIENTS

(All weights in grams, all seasoning in teaspoons — doctrine compliant)

  • Butter or olive oil — 20g

  • Onion, finely diced — 120g

  • Garlic, crushed — 10g

  • Carrots, diced — 200g

  • Celery, sliced — 150g

  • Mushrooms, sliced — 250g

  • Raw chicken (breast or thigh), diced — 350g

  • Dried thyme — 1 tsp

  • Fine salt — ¾ tsp

  • Black pepper — 1 tsp

  • Plain flour (optional, for body) — 2 tsp

  • Double cream — 180g

Stock build (locked doctrine):

  • 1½ chicken OXO cubes dissolved in 750g hot water


🔧 METHOD — NINJA LOGIC™ (CREAM DIVISION)

1️⃣ SAUTÉ (THE BASE)

Add to the soup maker:

  • 20g butter/oil

  • 120g onion

  • 10g garlic

Select SAUTÉ.Cook 4–5 minutes until soft and lightly sweet. No colour.


2️⃣ VEGETABLE BUILD

Add:

  • 200g carrots

  • 150g celery

  • 250g mushrooms

Continue on SAUTÉ for 5 minutes, stirring once or twice, until softened and glossy. Mushrooms should give up their water politely.


3️⃣ CHICKEN & BODY

Add:

  • 350g raw diced chicken

  • 1 tsp dried thyme

  • 2 tsp flour (if using)

Sauté 2–3 minutes, just until the chicken turns white on the outside.You’re sealing, not cooking through.


4️⃣ BUILD THE SOUP

Add:

  • 750g prepared chicken stock

  • ¾ tsp salt

  • 1 tsp black pepper

Stir gently.


5️⃣ COOK

Select CHUNKY.Let the Ninja complete the full cycle without interference.


6️⃣ THE CREAM MOMENT (ESSENTIAL)

When the cycle finishes:

  • Add 180g double cream

  • Stir well

  • Taste and adjust seasoning if needed

If the soup is thicker than you want, add hot water 10–20g at a time until it pours calmly.


🧠 NIX SOUPS NOTES

  • Chicken thigh = richer, more forgiving

  • Chicken breast = leaner, still correct

  • Cream always goes in after cooking

  • Flour is optional but gives classic “white soup” body

  • This reheats beautifully without splitting
