šøš“ NC500: THE MINI 4 PRO MISSION šš
This Sunday (21 Sept) Vanilla and I hit the road east ā west on the NC500. One van. One pilot. One drone: Zoom, the DJI Mini 4 Pro. Light, nimble, sub-250g⦠and absolutely ready to dance with Scotlandās wild skies. šØ
š” The Flying Forecast
Inverness ā East Coast (Sun): Breezy with showers. Quick launches only, but the moody castle shots could be epic. š°š§ļø
Wick & John OāGroats (MonāTue): Drizzle then brighter skies. Perfect for coastal sweeps and gull-dodging action. š¦š„
North Coast (TueāThu): The golden window! Lighter winds, mid-teens temps, huge skies. This is when Zoom will really stretch its wings. ššø
Ullapool & Coigach (WedāSat): Part sun, part showers. Sunset flights here could be next-level cinematic. š š„
Applecross & Bealach na BĆ (FriāSun): Cloud flirting with rain. If it clears, Zoom + mountain pass = footage DJI would use in adverts. ā°ļø
Final Stretch (29 Septā2 Oct): Cloudier, wetter, windier. Think moody lochs, storm-chasing and dramatic atmosphere. š§ļøā”

Tourists see rain and complain. Pilots see rain and grab their drone. Mist rolling off the lochs, sunlight punching through storm clouds, gulls shrieking āGET OOT MA SKY!ā ā itās all part of the atmosphere.
This NC500 wonāt just be driven⦠itāll be flown. Stay tuned here for Zoomās flight diary: cinematic skies, rugged coasts, and all the drone magic Scotland can throw at us
